About the Role
Groundforce is the market leading rental provider of excavation support, providing specialist equipment to customers worldwide. Provide full support to your line manager delivering excellent service, ensuring all depot transactions are completed safely, timely, efficiently, accurately and in line with company policies/procedures/processes and customer requirements to meet the overall objectives of the business. Furthermore inspect, service and maintain Groundforce equipment and depot assets to specified quality standards, as set down by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Working in the Depot under instructions from the Depot Foreman/Leadinghand to ensure equipment is ready for hire
- Liaise with your line manager, to agree and understand our customers\’ requirements and ensure that the highest level of service is maintained
- Drive counterbalance or multi-directional forklift trucks to load/unload vehicles and move, prepare and store equipment (full in-house training will be provided)
- Pick/return/scan equipment accurately and identify stock overages/shortages
- Load and unload equipment correctly and safely
- Use pressure washer to clean equipment
- Inspect, service and repair specified hire equipment and depot assets
- Use of pneumatic/electrical hand tools (full in-house training will be provided)
- Keep up to date and accurate service/inspection records at all times
- Identify and record damage of out of service equipment
- Ensure stock levels are accurately maintained and quality of equipment is kept in line with company standards
- Have a positive attitude towards Health, Safety and the Environment, reporting any issues to your supervisor
- Ensure the depot is maintained to a high standard, keeping it clean and tidy
- Occasionally drive the depot van as deemed necessary
- When considered necessary or appropriate by management you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business
What We\’re Looking For
- Ability to complete records and paperwork accurately is essential
- Capability to use scanners, PDAs, tablets and computers
- A reasonable level of fitness is required
- To be flexible, trustworthy and reliable and have excellent time keeping skills is essential
- Valid full clean driving licence and access to own mode of transport
- Customer service experience advantageous
- Knowledge of shoring commercial operations advantageous
- Working knowledge of construction/housing/civil engineering industry advantageous
- Knowledge of shoring and/or the hire industry advantageous
