We're looking for a confident and organised team player to join our busy team as a Hire Controller. This fast‑paced, office‑based role focuses on delivering great service to our construction industry customers.
Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming telephone calls and emails from customers, providing prompt, professional service.
- Process on‑hire and off‑hire requests using the dedicated hire management system with a high level of accuracy.
- Prepare and issue hire quotations based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate with operational depots and the transport team to arrange equipment deliveries, collections, and exchanges.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity, hire information and system data.
- Assist with checking product availability and support depot stock control processes.
- Help resolve service issues or queries efficiently, escalating when required.
Qualifications
- Excellent telephone manner and strong customer service skills.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy – MS Office and Outlook.
- Knowledge of G42 or other similar hire rental asset management systems (advantageous).
- Knowledge of the hire industry / construction (advantageous).
Due to the location of our office at Morley and the requirement for an 8:00 AM start, candidates should ideally be based in or around the Morley area. Public transport options are limited, so access to a car and a full driving licence would be beneficial.
