At Vp Group, we are focused on improving pricing discipline, revenue quality and commercial performance across the business. This role sits within the Group Commercial function and will support the development of a more data‑led, consistent and performance‑focused commercial approach across the UK divisions. You will play a key role in supporting pricing visibility, revenue assurance and, over time, customer profitability. The role is primarily hands‑on, focused on analysing data, identifying trends and helping translate insight into practical commercial actions. Initially reporting to the Group Commercial Officer, the role will evolve as the Group Commercial capability develops, with the opportunity to grow into a broader commercial analytics structure over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on data analysis and insight to support Group commercial priorities, with a particular focus on pricing performance across divisions.
- Support the development and tracking of commercial KPIs, improving visibility of price realisation, discounting, add‑on capture and revenue assurance.
- Build and maintain dashboards, baselines and reporting packs using tools such as Excel, Tableau and Snowflake, ensuring outputs are accurate, consistent and actionable.
- Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities within commercial data, helping to highlight risks and areas for performance improvement.
- Work across divisions to gather and interpret data, ensuring consistency of definitions and supporting the identification and sharing of best practice.
- Support the development of pricing insight and reporting, including analysis of pricing adherence, discount behaviour and commercial performance by customer or segment.
- Assist in the development of customer profitability and strategic account analysis as models and data capability mature.
- Support revenue assurance analysis, helping to identify areas of billing leakage, missed charges and opportunities to improve revenue capture.
- Prepare clear and concise analysis and reporting for use in commercial reviews, decision‑making and stakeholder discussions.
- Work closely with commercial teams, Finance and data teams to ensure alignment of data, reporting and commercial priorities.
- When considered necessary or appropriate by the company you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.
What We’re Looking For
- A solid mid‑level commercial or financial analyst with experience working in a data‑driven business environment.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into clear commercial insight.
- Comfortable working hands‑on with data and reporting tools, particularly Excel, Tableau and Snowflake (or similar platforms).
- Experience working with large or complex datasets, ideally across multiple business units or divisions.
- Strong attention to detail, with a structured and disciplined approach to analysis and reporting.
- Able to work across teams and functions, building relationships with commercial, finance and operational stakeholders.
- Curious and proactive, with the ability to spot patterns, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Commercially aware, with an interest in pricing, revenue performance and customer behaviour.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality output in a fast‑paced environment.
