We are on the lookout for a Support Worker to join our team in Nottingham NG3, supporting a client with complex needs due to an acquired brain injury. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 as there is a genuine occupational need to recruit females due to the nature of the role.
Candidates must be able to cover day shifts. Full moving and handling using a ceiling hoist and personal care required (training can be provided). Offering 24/7 support on a 1:1 basis with 12-hour shifts.
Pay rate: £12.80 p/h, Bank holiday rate: £15 p/h.
You will need:
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK (sponsorship not offered)
- Must have previous experience in a care setting for at least 12 months
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Caring, patient and empathetic nature
Your role would include:
- Supporting the client with moving and handling and full personal care using a ceiling hoist
- Supporting the client with feeding
- Supporting the client with accessing the community and attending appointments
- Medication administration
- Supporting the client with therapy goals
- Completing daily reports and MAR charts
- Completing domestic tasks
