VP Forensic are looking for a compassionate, patient and motivated Male Support Worker to join our team in the Great Yarmouth area , supporting a male client living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Complex Behaviour. The role is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 , as there is a genuine occupational requirement for a male Support Worker due to the specific nature and requirements of the role. What You'll Be Doing As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support tailored to the individual's needs, interests and goals. Your role will include: • Providing high-quality, person-centred support • Supporting rehabilitation and personal development goals • Assisting with daily living tasks and promoting independence • Supporting access to the community and encouraging enjoyable, meaningful activities • Building a positive, trusting relationship with the client • Supporting and managing complex behaviours and associated risks • Working closely with and under the guidance of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) • Encouraging confidence, independence and participation in everyday life Every day can be different, and your support could make a genuine and lasting difference to someone's life. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: • Caring, patient, empathetic and reliable • Confident communicating with others • Motivated to make a positive difference • Fluent in English • Comfortable supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours • Experienced in supporting people with an Acquired Brain Injury, Complex Behaviours or within a care/support setting , with a suitable level of knowledge and experience Requirements • Full UK Driving Licence – Preferred • Business Insurance – Preferred • Full right to work in the UK ( we are unable to offer sponsorship ) • Successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check , unless already registered on the DBS Update Service • Two satisfactory references will also be required Genuine Occupational Requirement This position is open to Male applicants only.
