General information of the position
A Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, accessing, bidding and winning new business opportunities for the group. We are a services group looking for project opportunities as well as new long term accounts.
Hexagon Building Solutions has a wide range of solutions. It is the intention that this role focuses on a specific set of solutions, part of our entire catalogue that includes:

The position is based in the UK with a focus on the UK (London preferred) and other European countries (northern Europe). The position requires previous experience in the industry (Construction / Facilities Management) and a wide network of accessible contacts (not constrained by non-competes or similars) in these regions.
Most of our sales are consultative. Strong communication skills are required.
As such, previous work experience in the UK and other EMEA countries is key.
General objectives
- Review, understand and align with the company\’s general and regional business development strategy and goals.
- Generate business development opportunities by contacting people in the network.
- Generate business development opportunities by leveraging opportunities brought by other channels (Hexagon, Partners, Marketing)
- Work with Marketing to create marketing campaigns and other marketing content/material
- Help EMEA management to direct sales in the region by identifying areas of opportunity (Data Centres, New Construction, Retail, etc)
- Report on regional sales results
- Forecast quarterly and annual sales opportunities
Job Profile
- Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role. AEC industry strongly preferred
- Proven experience in the regions targeted by this position
- Extensive network of contacts.
- Familiarity with bidding process
- Skills and experience to create project proposals
- Experience in selling lump sum and staff augmentation projects.
- Experience in the construction industry and/or facilities management industry.
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
- Familiarity with CRM software
- Excellent communication skills
- Availability to travel as needed. Experience in event and booth representation is a plus.
- Cultivating solid relationships with major customers to ensure a continuous flow of sales revenue.
- Identifying promising prospects through cold-calling, networking, and customer referrals.
- Maintaining accurate records of the total number of sales made, potential and existing customers, as well as sales employee performance evaluations.
- Work directly with the Sales Engineers team to answer technical questions posed by customers.
- Analyzing sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective.
- Conducting in-depth research on competitors\’ products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests.
Regional Business Development Sales Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor\’s degree in the AEC industry or in business or marketing.
- Proven sales experience.
- Proficiency in all Google and or Microsoft Office applications as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
Benefits and Conditions
- Full Time position Monday through Friday
- Flexible time schedule starting daily at 7:00-9:00 until 16:00-18:00 (includes lunch time).
- Remote work allowed. The main office is in Madrid.
- Gross Salary: TBD.
- Sales Commissions apply.
- Flexible retribution allowed after the first 6 months of employment.
