Voyago is hiring a Full-Time Signing Authority/School Bus Driver for our London location! As the Signing Authority, you will report to the Operations Manager and play a key role in ensuring that drivers are fully trained and equipped to handle all company vehicles safely and professionally.
- Key Responsibilities
- Driver Training & Licensing: Train employees to operate all company-owned vehicles and assist new hires in upgrading their Class G license to a Class B or Class E license.
- Orientation & Safety Training: Conduct orientation sessions for school drivers, including Health and Safety and Q-Straint training.
- Performance Evaluations: Perform on-road evaluations for new hires and conduct annual assessments for existing employees.
- Ongoing Development: Support ongoing training initiatives, including driver retraining after collisions, regular safety discussions, and refresher courses.
- Administrative Support: Organize files, maintain accurate records, handle correspondence, and facilitate communication between drivers and management.
- Team Engagement: Promote team development by fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Deficiency Report Oversight: Oversee the completion and cleanup of the Deficiency Report, with assistance from the Training Supervisor.
- Additional Instructional Programs: Participate in external instructional programs as required by the School Division Manager.
Compensation
Hourly pay rate: $22.00 per hour
Your profile
- You have an A, B, or C class licence held for a minimum of 3 years (mandatory).
- You possess a clean driving record and Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- You have excellent customer service experience.
- You have superior organization and communications skills.
- You have availability to work Monday to Friday (no evenings, weekends, or holidays).
- You have an understanding of vehicle for hire industry.
- You are comfortable driving a school route in addition to your training duties.
- You have knowledge of wheelchair tie downs and q-straint.
- You possess a clean driverβs abstract.
- You have previous instructional/teaching experience.
- You have previous Driver Assessment experience.
- You are willing to attend and complete Professional Instructor in Driver Education (PRIDE) program or Equivalent (Voyago will cover cost of this certification and all costs associated).
- You are comfortable travelling to various Voyago locations across SouthWestern Ontario.
Your Location
Your work location will be at our main building 573 Admiral Court, London. This position is 100% on site, there is no option to work from home.
