Looking for a job that’s more than just a job? One where you’re not just driving a vehicle, but driving real change in people’s lives? Voyago is currently recruiting to fill existing part-time vacancies within our London Para Transit Division!

As a Para Transit Driver, you're the friendly face behind the wheel, making sure seniors and individuals with special needs can get to medical appointments, groceries, social outings, basically all the important stuff.

Your Role:

  • You are responsible for delivering exceptional door to door service for passengers who are not able to take tradtional city transit services
  • You are required to provide proactive assistance to passengers in boarding vehicles, maneuvering wheelchairs, securing belts, lifting portable assistive devices, and offering necessary aid throughout the journey
  • Additionally, providing superior customer service to all passengers and assisting with information on fares, schedules, and stops is a crucial aspect of this role
  • You are responsible for performing basic vehicle inspection to ensure the vehicle is in good working order at the start of your shift

Your Profile:

  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
  • You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
  • You are a professional driver with a G, B, C or F class license
  • You have excellent customer service skills
  • You are patient, compassionate, and empathetic
  • You are comfortable working around any type of service animal
  • You are capable of working at a fast pace and keeping up with the physical demands of the role (Pushing, pulling, bending and twisting at a fast pace for 8 to 10 hours)
  • You have intermediate to advanced verbal and written language skills (equivalent to B2 to C1 levels)
  • You bring relevant experience from a similar role or have experience assisting individuals with disabilities
  • You have a solid understanding of London’s streets and neighborhoods, with confident navigation skills
  • You are comfortable working within a Union
  • You are comfortable starting in a part time role, working 12 to 24 hours per week, with the option to pick up additional shifts when available

Your Schedule:

This opportunity is all about flexibility. Shifts typically fall within the following timeframes (these times are approximate and will vary based on specific shift details):

  • Day shifts typically begin between 6:00am and 9:00am and will end between 3:00pm and 5:00pm
  • Evening shifts typically begin between 3:00pm and 5:00pm and will end between 10:00pm and 12:00am
  • The para transit service runs 7 days a week including holidays. Shifts often are a mix of days, evenings, and weekends

  • All shifts will begin and end at, 573 Admiral Court, London

Hourly Rate

  • The rate for this position will $20.72/hour
