Your role:

  • Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day.
  • Prioritise student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well-kept, professional vehicle.
  • Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle.
  • Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.

Your profile:

  • You are safety focused.
  • You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers licence for at least 1 year (Preference will be given to E or B class drivers).
  • You are 21 years of age or over.
  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record.
  • You can obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening.
  • You have a sound knowledge of London Region and surrounding areas.
  • You have the ability to work independently.
  • You are available for the required shifts: Monday - Friday between 6am - 9:30am and 1pm - 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route).
  • You possess solid communication skills.

Your location:

The main yard in London is located at 573 Admiral Court. Your route may start from this yard or from one of several park-out locations throughout the city. Where space permits, drivers may also take the vehicle home and begin their route directly from their driveway.

Hourly Rates:

  • Big Yellow, Mini-Yellow, or Wheelchair-Accessible Routes – $21.84/hour.
  • Minivan Routes – $20.96/hour.
  • Base Rate (for time spent working but not driving a route) – $19.76/hour.
