Are you energized by transforming raw data into clear stories, smart insights, and powerful business decisions? As a Data & BI Specialist, you’ll be at the centre of how our organization understands performance, forecasts opportunities, and builds smarter strategies. Reporting to the Director, IT & Performance, you will design, build, and optimize the tools and analytics that help teams across the company make confident, data-driven decisions.
Your role
- Build Smart BI Solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Own and execute ETL processes that ensure data flows cleanly and efficiently.
- Deliver BI solutions that are intuitive, insightful, and scalable.
- Turn Data Into Decisions
- Dive into complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand their business questions—and turn them into actionable insights.
- Champion data integrity, accuracy, and security across all platforms.
- Support and enhance data governance practices.
- Empower People With Data
- Train and support users so they can confidently interpret and leverage BI tools.
- Provide guidance on using dashboards to solve real business challenges.
- Stay sharp on emerging BI technologies and industry best practices.

The base location may be flexible within Ontario and Manitoba. The preference is an in office position, but a hybrid opportunity may exist based on experience and location.
Your Profile:
- You have a college diploma (or equivalent) in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, plus 3+ years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, BI, or similar roles.
- You bring strong technical skills, including Power BI, advanced Excel, and experience with SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- You possess a solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, cloud platforms, APIs, and data governance best practices.
- You can demonstrate a proven ability to interpret complex datasets, spot trends, solve problems, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- You have experience preparing reports and dashboards that support business decisions and performance tracking.
- Your knowledge of AI and Machine Learning concepts and experience is preferred.
- You are fluent in English with excellent communication skills allowing you to break down complex information in a way that makes sense to any audience.
- You possess a customer‑focused mindset with previous customer service or stakeholder‑facing experience.
- You can maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring data integrity.
- You have the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment, balancing independent work with strong collaboration skills.
