Position Overview
Harrogate High School is seeking to recruit an inspirational Teacher of Geography to join our strong, vibrant Humanities team on a fixed‑term contract for one year. We provide an excellent and challenging education, which seeks to enable all students to make outstanding progress in their learning and gain a great sense of personal development and achievement. We strongly believe in personalisation and encouraging enquiring minds.
As the successful candidate, you will embrace the Harrogate High School pledge of delivering high quality teaching and learning across Geography. You will be fully supported by an experienced faculty lead who shares a vision of effective teaching and learning founded on collaborative planning, assessment and instruction. You will be supported by a good team and a well‑resourced department with relatively new facilities.
Early career teachers are welcome to apply and, if successful, will be supported by our strong induction programme. You will have high expectations, a commitment to raising standards, possess up‑to‑date knowledge and understanding of teaching and behaviour management strategies, with a passion to enhance the learning experience of all our students.
