About us
At Churchdown Village Infant School, we are the heart of the community, with relationships at the core of everything we do. We aim to nurture curious, ambitious minds by creating an environment that equips children with the skills, mindset, and opportunities they need to excel academically while enhancing their cultural capital. Our school rules—Ready, Respectful, Safe—emphasise the importance of developing confident, happy individuals who know how to maintain their own and others’ health and safety, both physically and mentally.
This vision shapes our behaviours and attitudes, providing us with a strong moral code that is evident as soon as you step through our doors. We pride ourselves on having a passionate and experienced teaching team with expertise across many areas of the curriculum. Our teachers support each other and collaborate to share best practices. A consistent staff presence in the playground and at classroom doors ensures we stay well-connected with the parent community. Our Community Tier Committee aids in the school’s development, and an active PTA group maintains an exciting social and fundraising calendar to further enhance our growing school.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young persons and must ensure that the highest priority is given following the guidance and regulations to safeguard children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and qualification checks. The GLA is an equal opportunities employer.
