Job Description

To provide technical and practical support across the Creative and Performing Arts department, ensure that lessons, rehearsals, and performances can run smoothly and safely. The Creative Arts and Performance Technician will help maintain specialist equipment, prepare resources, support staff and students in practical work, and contribute to the success of performances, exhibitions, and showcases.

Desired Criteria

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Skills in lighting/sound design, instrument repair, or art workshop techniques.
  • Willingness to lead student workshops or mentor pupils in technical/creative skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to performance, art, and music spaces.
  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Practical experience of working with technical theatre equipment, art resources, or musical instruments.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage stock, order supplies, and keep accurate records.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends during school productions or events.
