Job Description

Teaching Assistant (SEND & Pastoral Support) x 2

Working Weeks – 38 term time only

Contract status – 12 months fixed term or Maternity cover

Grade 5, point 11 (starting salary £13,351)

Interview date - 18th June

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide in-class support and deliver impactful 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Support pupils with additional needs, emotional challenges and social development
  • Offer nurture and pastoral care to vulnerable learners
  • Help pupils build confidence, independence and a love of learning
  • Support behaviour positively, reducing barriers and promoting engagement
  • Be a consistent, trusted adult during lessons, breaks and lunchtimes

You’ll work closely with teachers and staff to adapt learning, break down barriers, create a safe, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment, and support pupils with complex medical needs as identified in their Intimate Care Plan or Individual Health Care Plan.
