Are you an inspirational and qualified SEND leader with the vision, passion and expertise to establish and lead a brand-new specialist provision?
We are looking for an exceptional leader to lead Veris, our new ARP, and shape its vision, culture and educational offer from the outset. This is a unique opportunity to build a provision that delivers aspirational social and academic outcomes for up to 30 young people with SEND.
We areopening a new repurposed build for up to 30 students with Emotionally BasedSchool Avoidance (EBSA), a diagnosis of Anxiety or on the pathway, and/or anASD diagnosis who are currently working with external services (eg – CAMHS) orwho are open to working with clinical services. Our student’s profile will beone of social and emotional vulnerability who is finding it difficult to attendschool.

GeneralRoles and Responsibilities:
The ARP isdue to open to its first cohort of students in September 2026 on a phasedentry. The ARP leader will join us beforehand to prepare for the opening.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and excellent SEND leaderor experienced SEND Teacher to join us in the role of ARP leader.
As aspecialist setting, the ARP will operate as a “school within a school” model;ARP colleagues will work in partnership with the wider school community toensure that the ARP’s vision and its ethos of the extended offer are embedded.
The ARPLeader will be responsible for successfully managing, leading and developingthe ARP vision and values through a clinically informed educational offer tomeet the needs of the young people who attend.
The new ARPleader will be supported with professional development opportunities alongsideTrust and School based assistance including a comprehensive inductionprogramme.
The roleincludes effectively managing a team comprised of teachers, ISPs (IndividualSupport Practitioners) alongside liaising and working alongside clinicalpractitioners. The ARP Leader will oversee and check the quality of provisionto ensure best practice and deliverance on EHCP outcomes/and pathway toadulthood targets. You will work in partnership with parents/carers, externalspecialists, the Local Authority, and the Senior Leadership Team at NorthamptonInternational Academy .
