Support Worker

Pay starts at: £11.45ph
Typical Shifts are: on a rota Monday to Sunday 08:00-20:00 and cover nights when required.

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you\’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!
Our Woodley House residential service in Ruddington is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. We support up to 18 adults with autism, learning disabilities, Angelman’s syndrome, Down Syndrome and mental health needs. The service is split into three purpose-built properties. The main house has a quiet room, a sensory room and a grand staircase, which has recently been modernised to provide greater accessibility for residents. All ground floor bedrooms also have wet rooms – perfect for those with reduced mobility. The bungalow has five bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. All three properties are linked via a beautiful courtyard. Every Wednesday, the team host a ‘Café Dance’ so all residents can socialise, dance and enjoy food and drink together.
This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone\’s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday. You will be required to have a Full UK Driving Licence in order to drive our cars.
