Overview

Support Worker – Town Greylees Sleaford. £12.34ph UK DL required. Typical shifts are 7.30am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-9.30pm.

About the role

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Female* Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you\’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service Ancaster Mews in Greylees is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same. You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support going swimming, shopping or assisting with arts and crafts and gardening.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone\’s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with autism, complex care needs and physical disabilities
  • Help people gain independence in daily living skills, including personal care
  • Encourage community participation, socialisation and engagement in activities
  • Support with outings and activities (e.g., swimming, shopping, arts and crafts, gardening)

Requirements

We’re interested in our Support Workers having the right experience and values. This service requires a full UK driving licence, and the ability to be resilient, flexible and composed. Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice is preferred, as well as experience working with individuals with autism, complex care and physical disabilities.
