Overview
Support Worker - Eastleigh - £12.43 per hour
Typical Shifts are: Weekend support worker - Saturday and Sunday 7:30am - 2.30pm & 2:30pm - 9.30pm. Long days 7:30am - 9:30pm.
Responsibilities
Join Voyage Care and feel valued. You will help people gain more independence in their daily lives, working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people. In Eastleigh, you’ll enhance the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs; the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema. This role offers variety and the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life by helping them grow in confidence and independence, such as making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
You’ll work with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma. You will be resilient, flexible and composed in your approach and you should be comfortable following Positive Behaviour Support plans and engaging in reflective practice.
Qualifications
We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This service requires a full UK driving license. You should be committed to dignity, respect, and person-centred support. Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice is desirable.
