We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Service Manager to lead one of our established residential services supporting adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to take over a settled, stable service with a strong reputation, long-standing people we support and a dedicated staff team.

Following the upcoming retirement of a long-serving manager, we are looking for a leader who can bring ideas, new energy and a clear vision for the future while maintaining the warm, person-centred culture already in place. The service supports a small group of adults who live full and active lives, accessing local community activities, social events, day opportunities and meaningful experiences. The people we support enjoy a welcoming home environment where independence, choice and quality of life are at the heart of everything we do.

As Registered Service Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care, quality, compliance and staff performance. You will work closely with families, healthcare professionals, local authorities and internal stakeholders whilst leading and developing your team to deliver outstanding support and positive outcomes.

You will:

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of support colleagues and senior staff
  • Create a positive, accountable and high-performing culture
  • Ensure person-centred support is embedded throughout the service
  • Monitor quality, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Manage recruitment, retention and workforce development
  • Complete audits, supervisions, appraisals and competency assessments
  • Oversee service budgets and operational performance
  • Build positive relationships with families, professionals and commissioners
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for development

You will also participate in the on-call management rota as required.

We are looking for someone who combines compassion with confidence. You will be:

  • An experienced manager within adult social care
  • Confident managing established teams and different personalities
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support
  • Skilled in performance management and staff development
  • Organised and operationally focused
  • Able to build strong relationships and communicate effectively

Previous Registered Manager experience would be advantageous, however we would also welcome applications from:

  • Deputy Managers ready to take the next step
  • Experienced Service Managers
  • Operational leaders within adult social care who are ready to register with CQC

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this) is desirable.

At Voyage Care, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life and every colleague deserves the opportunity to build a rewarding career. We encourage our teams to grow together, providing industry-leading training, genuine career progression and the support needed to succeed. If you're looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact, lead an established service and shape its future, we'd love to hear from you. All applicants and subsequent job offers will be subject to satisfactory DBS checks and references.
