We are looking for an
HR Advisor - Compliance Lead to join our HR team and play a key role in ensuring our people processes meet the highest standards of regulatory and legislative compliance.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining operational HR expertise with specialist compliance knowledge while supporting and developing junior colleagues.
As a subject matter expert within your designated compliance area, you'll help drive best practice, mitigate risk, and contribute to continuous improvement across our HR operations.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Reporting to the
Senior HR Advisor - Compliance Lead , you will
- Lead and support a team of 2-4 Junior HR Advisors, providing coaching, guidance and day-to-day direction.
- Act as a subject matter expert within a key compliance area such as Sponsorship & Visas, Right to Work, or DBS/PVG checks.
- Ensure HR compliance activities are delivered accurately, consistently and in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers, employees and stakeholders on HR compliance matters.
• Support compliance processes including
- Right to Work checks
- Sponsorship and immigration compliance
- DBS/PVG and criminal records processes
- Professional membership monitoring
- Family friendly leave and contractual changes
- Employee benefits administration
- Identify compliance risks and implement effective controls and process improvements.
- Support audits, inspections and reporting requirements by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Build strong relationships across the business to ensure compliance requirements are understood and applied effectively.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience working in an HR Operations or HR Advisory environment with a strong focus on compliance and governance.
• Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas
- Right to Work compliance
- UK Sponsorship and Immigration processes
- DBS/PVG administration
- Professional memberships
- HR transactional compliance processes
- Experience supporting, guiding or mentoring colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of employment-related legislation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret policies and legislation and translate them into practical advice.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable
- CIPD qualification or working towards qualification.
- Experience coaching or developing junior HR colleagues.
- Experience contributing to process improvement and service enhancement initiatives.
- Experience working in a regulated, large-scale or complex organisation.
