What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead & Inspire
- Manage and develop a high‑performing Network Operations team
- Create a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and collaboration
- Own the Network Estate
- Take full responsibility for a large‑scale Cisco Meraki environment (MX, MS, MR)
- Drive performance, resilience, and scalability across all services
- Lead network upgrades, deployments, and lifecycle management
- Deliver Modern Connectivity
- Shape and support hybrid cloud networking in Azure
- Oversee WAN, LAN, VPN, SD‑WAN, and wireless environments
- Ensure seamless connectivity across a geographically distributed estate
- Drive Innovation & Automation
- Introduce and expand automation (PowerShell / Python)
- Reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency
- Move towards infrastructure‑as‑code principles
- Strengthen Security & Compliance
- Work closely with security teams on Cyber Essentials Plus & ISO 27001
- Oversee firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure access controls
- Support audits, risk management, and incident response
- Lead Key Projects
- Own technical delivery of network projects including:
- Site deployments
- Connectivity transformations
- Telephony rollouts (VoIP/SIP)
- Platform enhancements
