We are on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us, you will help people gain more independence in their daily lives while working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people. This role includes an excellent training programme starting at induction and following your career, with opportunities for promotion and progression in a sector-leading organisation.

Typical shifts are: Monday - Sunday between 8:00am - 8:00pm (days with at least 1 sleep in and/or wake nights per week).

Responsibilities

  • Assist people to gain more independence in their daily lives and support a fantastic group of people in a dynamic team.
  • Teach new life skills, assist with personal care, cooking and cleaning when required.
  • Encourage access to local communities, socialising and participation in activities.
  • Support with outings in the local community or at the service, and help individuals to pursue activities of their choice.
  • Support individuals to achieve personal goals, such as cooking meals independently or going on holidays.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Full UK driving license preferred but not essential for this service.
  • Resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, dementia, autism and potentially people who have experienced trauma.
