Our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service in Gloucester is a welcoming and friendly environment where no two days are the same. You will be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access local communities, socialising, and participating in a variety of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support at local restaurants and attending appointments, the next you could be winding down watching films or going to the cinema.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the quality of life for people with acquired brain injury and other complex needs through teaching new life skills, personal care assistance, and social activities.
  • Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Support individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
  • Work shifts of 8:00–15:00 and 15:00–22:00 on a rota Monday–Sunday.

Qualifications

  • Full UK manual driving licence held for at least one year.
  • Minimum age 21 due to insurance policy for driving on-site vehicles.
  • Resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.

  • Pay rate starts at £12.95 per hour.
