We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on, and reliable Rehabilitation Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. In this role, you will support individuals recovering from injury, illness, or disability to regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, families, and clients to deliver person-centred care and rehabilitation support, helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, at our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service, Knot House in Ellesmere Port, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local restaurants or attending appointments, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation
  • Support rehabilitation programmes set by healthcare professionals
  • Encourage independence and confidence in clients
  • Monitor and record client progress, reporting any concerns
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care or support role (preferred but not essential)
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care (desirable)
