An opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic Commercial finance team. We are looking for a commercially minded analyst to support the business to maintain revenue levels and ensure financial sustainability of our services nationally.

In this varied role, you will be reviewing, analysing and interpreting the revenue of the business to ensure that this meets cost pressures in the sector. You will provide analysis and insights to support the Senior Commercial Relationship Managers and corresponding regional operations teams. You will negotiate appropriate funding with commissioning authorities to ensure service sustainability. The team also takes ownership of all costing models for the business and you will be using these to ensure that appropriate funding is received for all care and support delivered, and to support sustainable growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of several funding authorities, leading the annual fee negotiation process to meet cost increases, and ensuring all deadlines are met;
  • Producing costing models and analysis to be sent to external funding authorities;
  • Working collaboratively with Regional Managing Directors and their Operational teams, providing commercial support and guidance around funding;
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure billing systems reflect all inflationary uplifts in a timely manner;
  • Identifying and resolving fee anomalies, working closely with the Accounts Receivable department;
  • Tracking and reporting progress towards department targets;
  • Producing weekly/ad hoc reports that are circulated to the wider business;
  • Other ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Key Characteristics:
  • Good Microsoft Excel knowledge;
  • Demonstrable experience of financial analysis;
  • Logical approach to problem solving with high attention to detail;
  • Able to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly;
  • Adaptable team player;
  • Approachable, personable and able to communicate well across all staffing levels;
  • Preferably AAT qualified or have 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Ideally experience working with public sector funders or working within a financial department of a care provider.
