We are looking to hire a driven and ambitious junior or senior level pharmacist to join our team in Verda Park, Wallingford. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage pharmacy objectives in line with company growth and strategy. If you like problem-solving and implementing transformative solutions, this role is for you! You will join a growing team and have a meaningful impact on our patients and customers, reporting in to the sites Superintendent Pharmacist.
What you’ll be doing:
- Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines
- Maintaining compliance with our practice standards
- Helping the Superintendent Pharmacist to develop, implement and maintain Pharmacy procedures and processes.
- Working with the Head of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager to help run the Pharmacy
- Deputise for the Pharmacy Manager in their absence
- Checking dispensed prescriptions and sending out orders via our couriers
- Managing the Pharmacy near misses and creating action plans
- Working with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents
- Working proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner
- Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience
- Work with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce
- Work with the compounding team to supply medicines
- Work with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory
What we need from you:
- Registered with the pharmacy regulator (GPhC)
- Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise
- A passion for pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team-centred approach
- Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
- Role model communication skills; you will hold excellent face to face interactions to effectively meet the varied needs of customers and patients in pharmacy
Please note we can consider both part time and full time for this position, for the right candidate.
