We are seeking a highly focused, collaborative and strategic Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role will be critical in running, developing and scaling our Supply Chain and Procurement function in the UK. The successful candidate will combine strong clarity of thought with hands-on operational expertise and excellent stakeholder management skills, to strategically develop supplier relationships, source new products and improve the cost, quality and reliability of our supply chain. What you’ll be doing:
- Strategic Planning: Work with the Supply Chain Director to develop and execute long-term supply chain strategies aligned with the business, balancing cost efficiency, service levels, and risk mitigation.
- Inventory management: Monitor stock levels and supply performance, working with external suppliers and internal category teams to ensure appropriate stock cover is in place.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Own key supplier and logistics provider relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to service and compliance standards.
- Risk Management: Identify vulnerabilities in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- New treatment/product development: Work with internal clinical and category teams to identify and develop new treatment offerings and lead sourcing of the relevant medications and products.
- Operational Excellence: Coordinate and execute process improvement initiatives across procurement, logistics, demand planning, and inventory management to increase reliability and reduce waste.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with Finance, Operations, Product, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment of supply chain priorities with broader business goals and to collaborate on cross functional projects.
- Sustainability & Innovation: Drive initiatives to increase supply chain sustainability, leveraging digital tools, automation, and new business models.
What we need from you:
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or consulting.
- Detailed understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes including sourcing, supplier management, logistics, planning, and fulfilment.
- Clear communication and excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data modelling skills; proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP or supply chain planning systems.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and implementing process improvements.
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements or other business improvement opportunities.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Experience in pharmaceuticals or healthcare supply chain.
- Negotiation leadership experience within a supply chain procurement setting.
- Experience working in a high growth environment/scale up.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and emerging supply chain technologies is a plus.
