Our client is looking to hire Senior Mechanical and Electrical Designers who are enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate professionals with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality service designs across various sectors.

There is an immediate opening for full-time Senior Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers to join the London office, supporting and growing the existing engineering team.

As part of the London engineering team, you will report to a line manager at Associate or Director level. Your responsibilities will include supporting work on a range of projects while mentoring junior team members. You will be familiar with and actively using industry benchmarks and internal standards. Your role will focus on ensuring the timely delivery of accurate project information and serving as a point of contact between the engineering staff and the in-house/external Revit/CAD team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate strong knowledge in Mechanical & Electrical engineering
2. Actively commit to developing specialist skills in one or more disciplines
3. Continue professional development (CPD) across all relevant disciplines
4. Exhibit commercial awareness on a project basis
5. Deliver detailed and accurate calculations and drawings within relevant disciplines
6. Display confident presentation skills
7. Develop, present, and implement technical solutions based on client briefs
8. Liaise with clients, architects, and external design team members
9. Support other project team members
10. Deliver designs within project timeframes
11. Maintain an overview of project work and provide updates to line/project managers
12. Address client feedback and project-related issues
13. Develop relationships with external team members for business development opportunities

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We seek enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated engineers with various levels of experience in an MEP design office. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, under limited supervision.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
2. Strong oral and written communication skills
3. Working towards relevant professional qualifications
4. Minimum two years of experience in an engineering environment
5. Exposure to a variety of project work
6. Practical knowledge of project work and understanding of project management tools
7. Understanding of project deliverables within public and private sectors
8. Strong project coordination skills
9. Team-oriented mindset with an appreciation for consistent standards and metrics
10. Ability to manage workload effectively under limited supervision
11. Experience with Bluebeam
12. Proficiency in CAD and Revit
13. Familiarity with IES or HEVACOMP software packages
14. Strong report-writing skills
15. Effective IT skills for producing technical materials
