Job Title: SEN Caseworker Location: North West London Rate: £280 per day (Umbrella) Contract: Ongoing Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm (office attendance required on Wednesdays) About the Role We are seeking an experienced SEN Caseworker to join a Local Authority in North West London. This role will manage a caseload of children and young people (0–25) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring statutory compliance and delivering high-quality Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments and reviews. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the full Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessment and review process for a defined caseload of children and young people. Draft and amend EHC Plans, ensuring they reflect parental views, professional advice, and statutory guidance. Work closely with professionals in education, health, and social care to ensure provision is appropriate and timely. Provide advice and guidance to parents, children, and schools on the SEND Code of Practice 2015. Present cases at weekly multi-professional panel meetings and contribute to decision-making on provision and placements. Attend annual reviews and challenge or support schools regarding statutory responsibilities. Maintain accurate records and case data on the Education Management System. Requirements Detailed knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and Children and Families Act 2014. Proven experience managing caseloads within SEN casework or a similar environment. Ability to assess, interpret, and implement recommendations from a range of professional reports. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce statutory correspondence and reports. Experience working collaboratively with professionals across education, health, and social care. Confident, organised, and capable of facilitating multi-agency meetings. IT literacy (Word, Outlook, Excel, case management systems). Minimum GCSE English and Maths (A–C) or equivalent.
