Property Repairs Manager
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Contract Duration: 3 to 6 months ongoing
Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm
Hourly Rate: £31.63 per hour umbrella
Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership, proactive coaching, and mentoring to the Property Repairs Team, ensuring they operate to their full potential and are qualified to deliver the Council\’s priorities.
- Deliver an integrated repairs service across all tenures, considering external best practices, regulatory requirements, and business priorities. Benchmark performance regularly to ensure an exceptional service.
- Maintain high standards of customer service to the Council’s residents, ensuring compliance from both in-house and externally contracted services. Manage complaints within agreed timescales with a lessons-learned approach.
- Operate and maintain safety management according to the Council’s Health & Safety policies and promote health, safety, and environmental awareness through positive managerial actions.
- Immediately address any breaches of health, safety, or environmental policies, unsafe situations, or potential threats to people or the environment.
Requirements
- CIH Level 3 in Housing Maintenance and Asset Management
- A Management Qualification or equivalent
- Good understanding and experience of the social housing market and working within a repairs and maintenance service
- Experience managing a large workforce with strong people management and leadership skills, including leading multi-disciplinary teams, including field-based resources
- Proven experience in leading change within a team
