12-week temporary contract with the intention to extend to 6 months.

Purpose of the Role

To deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient decoration and tiling works across properties, ensuring customer satisfaction remains central to all tasks completed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out painting, decorating, and tiling works to a high standard, using correct materials and following provided specifications.
  • Treat mould and damp in line with manufacturers’ guidelines, and wash down external property areas including windows, doors, soffits, and fascias.
  • Undertake minor repair works to walls, timber frames, porches, guttering, soffits, and fascias to support decoration and tiling tasks.
  • Manage workload effectively, attend scheduled appointments, and maintain clear communication with the scheduling team, reporting any delays promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including safe working practices, proper use of PPE, and understanding of risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH.
  • Pre-order required materials from approved suppliers and update customers on order progress.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-trade team, providing support where needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, acting as a professional ambassador for the company and reflecting organisational values.
  • Use mobile technology (smartphone/tablet) to record job progress, materials used, and completion details accurately.
  • Attend meetings and training as required, contributing to your own professional development.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties aligned with the role’s scope and responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating or Tiling, or equivalent time-served experience.
  • Proven experience delivering tiling and decorating works, ideally within a housing provider or in-house contractor environment.
  • Strong understanding of repair, tiling, and redecoration processes and associated technical requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively within a trade team and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrates the company's values and behaviours.
