We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tenancy Support Officer to join a busy Housing Services team in South East London on an ongoing contract basis. This role is focused on providing practical tenancy support to new and transferred tenants, helping them successfully settle into their homes and sustain their tenancies. Working closely with the New Builds Tenancy Enforcement Officer, you will manage a varied caseload of residents with differing support needs and ensure appropriate interventions are in place to promote successful tenancy outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify support needs and develop tailored support plans for new tenants during the first 6–12 months of their tenancy.
- Provide guidance, advice, and practical assistance to new and existing transferred tenants to help them settle into their homes.
- Work proactively with vulnerable tenants and those requiring additional support to sustain their tenancy.
- Conduct assessments and make referrals to internal and external support agencies where appropriate.
- Support tenants with issues relating to welfare benefits, budgeting, health, wellbeing, and access to local services.
- Maintain accurate case records.
