We are currently recruiting for an experienced Garages Surveyor to join a Local Authority team in West London on an ongoing contract basis. This role will involve supporting the management of the Council’s garage portfolio, ensuring properties are well maintained, efficiently managed, and income performance is maximised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the garage portfolio
  • Carrying out inspections and monitoring property conditions
  • Managing garage lettings, tenancy agreements, and void reductions
  • Arranging and overseeing repairs and maintenance works
  • Liaising with contractors, residents, and internal departments
  • Supporting income recovery and rental performance
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports, and performance data
  • Identifying sites suitable for redevelopment or disposal opportunities
  • Ensuring garages are compliant, safe, and fit for purpose

Requirements

  • Previous experience within property, surveying, estates, or asset management
  • Experience managing repairs, maintenance, or lettings processes
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage workloads within a fast-paced environment
  • Good IT and reporting skills
  • Experience within a Local Authority or housing environment is desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
