Job Title: Building Safety Manager Location: Hybrid – 2 days in office / 3 days from home Rate: £45.65 per hour (Umbrella) Contract: 3 months ongoing We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Safety Manager to join a Local Authority within Housing Services on an interim basis. This is a key role within the Building Safety & Compliance team, responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of higher-risk residential buildings (HRBs), while supporting the delivery of statutory obligations and best practice across the housing portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Lead on building safety management across designated high-risk residential buildings Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and relevant regulations Develop, manage, and review Building Safety Cases and Case Reports Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments relating to fire and structural safety Work collaboratively with Housing, Repairs, and Asset teams to address safety actions Act as a key liaison with the Building Safety Regulator and London Fire Brigade Promote and lead on resident engagement around safety and compliance Oversee delivery of both minor and major building safety works Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams and senior stakeholdersAbout You: Proven experience (3+ years) in building safety, fire safety, or housing compliance Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and s...
