Housing Options Officer – Contract Opportunity
Location: Hertfordshire
Contract: 3-6 months (ongoing)
Rate: £25 per hour (umbrella)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (hybrid)
We are seeking a dedicated Rough Sleeperwith housing knowledge to join a busy local authority team in Hertfordshire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct outreach support to rough sleepers and vulnerable individuals.
- Deliver housing advice and assistance, helping clients access accommodation and support services.
- Assess individual needs and develop personalised housing or support plans.
- Work closely with housing providers, charities, and external agencies to secure housing solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in rough sleeper outreach, homelessness prevention, or housing support.
- Strong understanding of housing options and the challenges faced by vulnerable groups.
- Excellent communication, engagement, and case management skills.
- Must hold a valid DBS and be able to work with vulnerable adults.
- Car driver essential due to outreach requirements.
