We are looking for a skilled and motivated Estates Supervisor / Team Leader with a completed apprenticeship in either a mechanical or electrical trade to join our Estates & Facilities team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise estates operatives in delivering safe and efficient maintenance services.
  • Understand and manage the distribution of building systems, including: Mechanical, Water, Electrical, and Ventilation Systems, Medical Gas Systems, and Other Engineering Services.
  • Carry out capital and installation work as directed by the Estates Officer or management team.
  • Ensure full compliance with permit to work procedures and health & safety protocols.
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) inspections and commissioning tests in line with Harrogate Integrated Facilities Ltd policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance tasks to demonstrate compliance.
  • Prepare plant equipment for insurance inspections under the Pressure Systems Regulations.
  • Follow engineering drawings, specifications, and PPM schedules.
  • Operate all necessary tools and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical trade.
  • Strong understanding of engineering systems within buildings.
  • Experience in supervising or leading a maintenance team.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and relevant regulations (ACoP, PSSR).
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
