A leading Local Authority is looking for an experienced Electrician to join their busy repairs and maintenance team on a 3-month ongoing contract.
Working across occupied and void social housing properties, you'll carry out a range of electrical repairs, remedial works, testing and inspection, helping to maintain safe, compliant homes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs and remedial works across occupied and void residential properties.
- Complete testing and inspection works in line with current regulations.
- Undertake minor rewiring works within void properties where required.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety legislation.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (1 week in every 4).
About You
- City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience working within social housing, property maintenance or a similar environment.
- Competent carrying out testing and inspection works.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable (mileage paid), although a company vehicle may be available.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently
