Rate: £374 per day (Umbrella)
Contract: 3 months ongoing
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Safety Manager to join a Local Authority within Housing Services on an interim basis. This is a key role within the Building Safety Compliance team, responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of higher-risk residential buildings (HRBs), while supporting the delivery of statutory obligations and best practice across the housing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on building safety management across designated high-risk residential buildings
- Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and relevant regulations
- Develop, manage, and review Building Safety Cases and Case Reports
- Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments relating to fire and structural safety
- Work collaboratively with Housing, Repairs, and Asset teams to address safety actions
- Act as a key liaison with the Building Safety Regulator and London Fire Brigade
- Promote and lead on resident engagement around safety and compliance
- Oversee delivery of both minor and major building safety works
- Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams
