Job Overview: We are seeking a friendly and professional Guide and Meet & Greet Host to welcome guests before their visit to one of our venues at Edinburgh Castle. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will ensure a smooth start to their experience by assisting with voucher exchanges, verifying their audio guide downloads, and escorting them to the venue while providing an express info tour (20 to 25 mins both outside and inside the castle). Additionally, you will support customers with booking time slots and addressing any queries related to their visit and any reviews we require them to leave of their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick-up radios for distribution to guests
- Meet and warmly welcome guests at designated locations before their visit.
- Verify booking details, process voucher exchanges, and ensure guests have downloaded their Vox City audio guide.
- Assist customers in booking time slots for their experience if required.
- Escort guests to the venue entry, providing an express info tour (20 to 25 mins)
- Handle customer service queries related to their upcoming visit, resolving issues promptly or escalating when necessary.
- Provide general information about the venue, experience, and the Vox City app.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Collaborate with the wider Vox City team to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
- Comfortable using smartphones and apps, with the ability to assist guests in downloading and using the Vox City audio guide.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries efficiently.
- Knowledge of Edinburgh major landmarks and tourist attractions is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
