As Head of Commercial Data and Insights, your core mission is to help Topshop and Topman make more informed decisions. We aim to build long-term sustainable growth and we will achieve this by facilitating world-class planning and execution through clear understanding of the drivers of our brand success. The role is based in our London HQ, will report directly into the Managing Director, TOPSHOP & TOPMAN, and will work closely with the TSTM Trading, Product and Marketing teams.
The Role:
- Partner with the leadership team to set the strategic direction and activities of TSTM.
- Ensure that growth plans are robust and maximise value for the brands and ASOS.
- Build and manage forecasts and provide internal reporting on our KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with the trading team to understand and analyse daily trading performance.
- Use a data-led approach to discover, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Provide insightful analysis to improve business performance across activities including product selection, trading strategies and our marketing approach.
- Deliver insightful ad-hoc analysis and build business cases for new opportunities and investments.
- Lead the weekly and monthly business reviews to provide the broader team with a detailed understanding of the drivers of our performance.
TOPSHOP and TOPMAN are iconic British fashion brands with 60 years of heritage. Headquartered in London, the Brands have over 2 million customers across the globe through the ASOS platform and generate brand sales of c200m. Our mission is to unlock the best of fashion for everyone, with creativity and innovation at our core.
Following the formation of a Joint Venture between ASOS and HEARTLAND in October 2024, ASOS is creating a standalone cross-functional team within ASOS which is dedicated to unlocking the huge growth potential of the TOPSHOP and TOPMAN brands. The brands will now benefit from ASOS infrastructure and resources while enjoying the creative freedom and agility of standalone brands.
The next 12 months for TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will see the expansion of the brands\’ offline and online retail presence with the launch of Topshop.com and new wholesale partnerships.
We are looking for exceptional candidates with the following strengths:
- Proactive, inquisitive, comfortable with ambiguity, analytical, detail-oriented and experienced in utilising data to drive decision-making.
- Confident working independently in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior business stakeholders confidently.
- Bias for process improvement and process discipline to deliver efficiency.
- Preference for strong financial modelling skills, and proficient in utilising financial and reporting systems (MS Excel, SQL Server, Microstrategy, Dynamics all preferred).
- Ideally ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with extensive experience post qualification.
