About Voto Latino Voto Latino (VL) is a pioneering civic media organization focused on empowering Gen‑Z and Millennial Latinos through digital innovation, strategic communications, and grassroots engagement. VL is currently seeking a Social Media Manager – Content Creator & Video Engagement to join our fast‑moving digital team.

Location: Washington, DC

Position Summary: Voto Latino is looking for a high‑output content creator who lives and breathes short‑form video. This is not a traditional social media management role — it is a production‑first position built for someone who can shoot, edit, and publish mass volumes of video content quickly, without sacrificing quality or message. The role is primarily focused on Voto Latino Foundation (C3) work, supporting nonpartisan civic engagement, education, and community‑focused content, and will also collaborate on select Voto Latino (C4) advocacy campaigns as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and publish high volumes of short‑form video content daily across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Bluesky, and Threads.
  • Shoot, edit, and deliver rapid‑response video content in real time — turning breaking news and cultural moments into compelling content within hours.
  • Operate video editing tools independently, including CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Develop and maintain content calendars aligned with campaigns, advocacy priorities, and the organizational news cycle.
  • Draft scripts and talking points for direct‑to‑camera video segments, reels, and social cuts.
  • Manage day‑to‑day activity across all Voto Latino social platforms, ensuring content is timely, on‑brand, and optimized for each channel.
  • Monitor analytics and performance data, using insights to continuously improve content volume, reach, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with communications and policy teams to translate complex issues—immigration, voting rights, civic engagement—into accessible, shareable video content.
  • Maintain brand consistency and quality across all video and social output.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in social media, digital content creation, or video production.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce mass volumes of video content quickly and independently; portfolio or reel required.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent.
  • Strong instincts for what performs on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, and the skills to execute it fast.
  • Strong copywriting and scripting skills with a sharp, authentic voice.
  • Experience with analytics tools (Meta Insights, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, TikTok Analytics, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of immigration, civic engagement, and social justice issues; experience in political campaigns or advocacy organizations.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapid‑response environment and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing or coordinating with remote collaborators is a plus.

What Sets the Ideal Candidate Apart:

The ideal candidate is a one‑person production powerhouse—someone who can pick up a phone, film a segment, edit it on the spot, and have it live before the news cycle moves on. They understand the urgency of civic media, have a grasp of immigration and civic engagement issues, and are attuned to Latino culture and politics, creating content that moves people to act.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary range: $70,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Voto Latino offers competitive benefits, including health insurance and paid vacation leave. This is a full‑time employment position.

Equal Opportunity Employer:

Voto Latino is an equal opportunity employer, committed to inclusive hiring and dedicated to diversity in our work and staff.
