The Role
The main purpose of a Vospers Vehicle Technician is to carry out service, mechanics, repair and maintenance to customers vehicles, to the highest possible standard commensurate with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
- To carry out servicing, maintenance, mechanics and repairs to customers vehicles.
- To perform duties in a safe and economical manner in line with HSE and Vospers Health and Safety practices.
- Take an active part in creating a positive team environment.
- To ensure all Vospers equipment and machinery is regularly checked and kept up to a satisfactory standard.
- To maintain and develop skill levels in all aspects of repair, mechanics, service and maintenance.
- Interpret repair instructions accurately to achieve first time repair in line with customer requirements.
- Plan and carry out servicing and mechanics work in a systematic and efficient manner to achieve completion within a satisfactory period of time.
- Ensure vehicles are carefully handled and that all reasonable care is taken of the vehicle whilst it is on the premises for service.
- If necessary, talk to customers directly about vehicle problems, therefore aiding the diagnostic process; first time fix and improving customer satisfaction.
- Undertake a vehicle health check on all retail and warranty jobs, maximise sales opportunities when extra work is required.
Location: Plymouth
Salary: Dependent on Experience and Qualifications, to be discussed at interview
Hours: An average of 42.5 hours per week (includes Saturday on a rota)
