Role and responsibilities

As a Driver, you will play a key role in the safe, efficient and timely movement of new and used vehicles between locations, supporting the sales and operations teams in delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role exists to ensure vehicles are transported, presented, and delivered to the highest standard, adhering to all company procedures, road safety regulations and customer requirements. You will help to maximise operational efficiency by planning routes effectively, maintaining accurate records and ensuring vehicles are ready for sale or handover without unnecessary delay or cost. Ultimately, you'll contribute to the smooth flow of vehicles through the business, enhancing both the efficiency of the department and the quality-of-service customers receive.

  • Safely and efficiently collecting and delivering single or multiple vehicles to designated locations across local and national routes.
  • Operating the transporter's hydraulic ramps and equipment to safely load and unload vehicles, ensuring all are securely fastened and stowed for transit.
  • Transferring vehicles across all Vospers Southwest sites.
  • Accurately completing all necessary delivery and collection reports, logs and legal documentation (invoices, delivery notes, mileage records).
  • Acting as the face of the company during customer interactions and handovers, maintaining a professional attitude, and providing a positive experience.
  • Adhering to all road safety regulations, transport legislation, and managing driver's hours (tachograph data) appropriately.
  • A flexible approach to working start times as dictated by the needs of the business.
  • Being prepared for overnight stays as many routes are national and cannot be completed in a single day.

What we're looking for

  • A full drivers license is essential
  • The ability to provide first-class customer service
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, driven and able to organise your own work schedule
  • CPC qualification preferred but not essential

£26,436.80 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
