The Role
The main purpose of a Vospers Parts Delivery Driver is to ensure all goods are safely loaded onto vans and delivered to customers in a safe & efficient manner. To collect unwanted/returned goods in accordance with our returns policy. To drive company vehicles with care and respect and carry out vehicle checks and ensure any defects are reported to the line Manager immediately.
Also required as part of this role:
- Support work carried out in our Warehouse and Goods-in area as and when required
- Take full part in stock check activities which on occasion will require overtime.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
- To deliver all customer orders in a prompt and efficient manner with a customer focused attitude, whilst ensuring delivery paperwork is completed in full.
- Check customer orders for any visible damage & to ensure the correct parts are allocated to the customer invoice.
- Collect unwanted goods in accordance with our returns policy ensuring customers are provided with appropriate paperwork at the point of pick up.
- To support the provision of holiday and sickness cover for other Drivers.
- Carrying out work in our dispatch area & warehouse in-between deliveries as and when required, including but not limited to, compacting cardboard, picking customer orders via electronic scanners, and general tidying of the warehouse.
- To ensure your delivery vehicle is maintained in a clean and tidy condition, is loaded safely/correctly.
- Drive responsibly & professionally in line with the company’s driver handbook & policies, whilst also carrying out weekly vehicle maintenance checks & reporting any issues or defects to your line Manager.
- Where PPE is required, it must be worn in line with safety requirements at all times.
- You are required to make yourself aware of, and follow all department processes & procedures, including stock check requirements and activities.
- Undertake any other duties that are reasonably required by your Line Manager to meet the needs of the Business.
Location: Marsh Mills, Plymouth
Salary: Based on qualifications and experience, to be discussed at interview
Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday
