The Role
As a Commercial Service Advisor you will operate within the Commercial Service department. The main purpose is to provide a professional and courteous reception to customers, ensuring the highest standard of customer satisfaction and promoting Vospers core and brand values at all times.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
- Book in vehicles, ensuring appointments are convenient for the customer and the department in line with workshop capacity.
- Identify customer requirements and, where possible, supply an accurate fully inclusive costing.
- Constantly monitor the progress of available workshop hours to ensure hours to be sold are maximized on a daily basis.
- Produce accurate job cards, invoices, estimates and related information.
- Provide customers with full explanations of work carried out, making the most of any additional selling opportunities.
- Produce warranty job cards in line with the manufacturer’s policy and procedures.
- Accurately record all work requirements and identify retail, warranty, internal and non‑chargeable repairs.
- Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure availability of parts.
- Arrange efficient collection/delivery of customer vehicles and courtesy cars.
- Ensure all cars loaned to customers are suitably insured by the customer.
- Ensure customer service books are stamped as confirmation of a service carried out.
- Collect all monies or signed authority due prior to release of the vehicle and ensure it is banked promptly.
- Respond to the telephones and written enquiries promptly, courteously and efficiently.
- Greet all customers at reception offering courtesy services as appropriate and confirming all details before work is carried out.
Qualifications/Skills
To be successful in this position you will need to be highly ambitious, personable, confident and possess previous experience working in a similar role within the industry. You will also need:
- A standards and quality‑driven management style.
- An eye for detail.
- To be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery.
- Interpersonal, administrative and organisational skills.
- To be computer literate.
- Hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
Salary
Dependent on experience and qualifications to be discussed at interview.
Hours
Monday to Friday with Saturday on a rota, to cover a period of maternity leave.
