Join Vorwerk’s Finance team to ensure our UK and Ireland operations are accurate, compliant, and insight-driven. As Controlling Manager, you’ll own monthly performance reporting, statutory obligations, and budgeting across two countries - providing the timely, reliable numbers that underpin leadership decisions, cash management, and sustainable growth for our Thermomix and Kobold businesses.
What you’ll do:
- Own monthly management accounts and submit accurate, insight-rich reporting to Group on time.
- Investigate variances, surface risks and opportunities, and provide clear explanations to stakeholders.
- Lead quarterly estimates and annual budget processes across both divisions and two countries.
- Ensure statutory, legal, and tax compliance (Companies House, HMRC, ROS), including international obligations (Transfer Pricing, DAC6).
- Manage internal and external audits and oversee statutory reporting and regulatory filings.
- Serve as bank and transaction authoriser per Delegation of Authority.
- Develop systems and process improvements.
- Provide financial and tax advice to the Board and departments, influencing financial strategy alongside the Finance Director.
What you bring:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or similar) with 5+ years in a financial management role.
- Experience in international, multi-currency environments; comfortable with Group reporting.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and performance management capability.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, linked formulas, data linking); SAP experience preferable.
- Exceptional communication skills; able to explain financials to non-financial stakeholders.
- Analytical rigor, critical thinking, and problem-solving; meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven people leadership: you coach, develop, and set high standards for a small, high-performing team.
- Change driver: you improve processes, strengthen controls, and streamline systems.
