We’re on the lookout for a talented and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of core accounting tasks in a dynamic and supportive environment. You’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and accurately, working closely with our Financial Controller and other departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately post all daily bank transactions and reconcile bank statements
  • Manage the full Purchase Ledger process: input supplier invoices, reconcile statements, resolve queries, and prepare payments
  • Handle Accounts Receivable tasks including issuing statements, performing credit checks, opening new accounts, and managing credit control
  • Monitor and manage the finance team’s shared email inbox
  • Compile and distribute a weekly sales report
  • Assist the Financial Controller with month‑end processes
  • Reconcile selected balance sheet accounts
  • Manage and maintain petty cash records
  • Support with additional ad‑hoc duties as required

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong Excel skills, with working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Sage (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach
  • Professional attitude with the confidence to communicate clearly and effectively across departments
