We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant running of a busy HGV fleet operation. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience managing European haulage operations, with air freight experience being a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day fleet operations
- Ensure full compliance with DVSA, Operator Licence, and transport regulations
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and fleet documentation
- Monitor tachograph data, driver compliance, and WTD reports
- Handle accident investigations and vehicle defect management
- Support driver recruitment, onboarding, and training
- Maintain health & safety standards across the operation
- Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs
- Minimum 10 years transport experience working with HGV fleets
- Strong knowledge of European haulage operations
- Air freight experience (desirable)
- Must hold a valid CPC qualification for at least 8 years
- Previous experience operating on an Operators Licence
- Strong leadership and communication skills
