The Role
About 50% of your time will focus on business development and commercial growth, with the rest spent alongside the CEO on projects and priorities across the business. No two weeks look exactly the same.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Identifying and approaching potential B2B customers
- Researching new markets, sectors and sales channels
- Building a B2B pipeline and following opportunities through to a commercial outcome
- Preparing proposals and supporting negotiations
We want someone who can create opportunities where none currently exist.
CEO Projects & Execution
- Researching new commercial opportunities and analysing competitors
- Managing projects from idea through to completion
- Supporting new product and market launches
- Improving internal processes and using AI and automation to work smarter
- Preparing analysis to support decisions
You'll have visibility across the whole company rather than being confined to one department.
Who We’re Looking For
We're looking for a recent graduate (class of 2022 or later, not currently studying) with proven entrepreneurial drive.
To be considered, you must be able to show that you have started, run or sold something, with numbers to prove it: revenue earned, customers won or members recruited. A side business, a reselling operation, a society you grew or a campaign you ran all count, but only if you can tell us the result.
Your mindset and initiative matter more to us than your degree subject or grades. You should be:
- Entrepreneurial: you naturally look for opportunities and better ways of doing things
- Commercially minded and interested in how businesses grow
- Confident communicating with customers, partners and senior people
- Comfortable picking up the phone and building new relationships
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects
- Resourceful: when you don't know something, you work out how to find the answer
- Curious about technology, AI and new ways of working
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 3-6 months, we'd expect you to be:
- Generating new revenue opportunities
- Opening doors to new customers and commercial partnerships
- Building a B2B pipeline
- Taking ownership of important projects
- Becoming someone the CEO can hand a problem to and trust to drive it forward
You'll work directly alongside the CEO, not several layers removed from decision-making. You'll see first-hand how commercial, product and strategic decisions are made, and you'll have the freedom to propose ideas and then build them. For someone entrepreneurial, that breadth of exposure is far greater than a typical graduate role offers. As Vorsprung grows, we want you to grow with us.
