Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Coordinator (maternity cover) to manage all aspects of purchasing across the business. You’ll oversee supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services while supporting ongoing projects and process improvements. This is a great opportunity to step into a pivotal role and make an immediate impact in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of purchasing across all areas of the business, including identifying needs, requesting quotations, PO creation and management, and chasing overdue orders.
- Identify and deliver cost savings and efficiency gains across the business.
- Forecast future purchasing requirements by collaborating with key stakeholders across the business and analysing historic data.
- Vet and onboard new suppliers, manage existing supplier relationships and conduct ongoing supplier performance monitoring.
- Update supplier records in line with corporate policies and procedures.
- Action internal tickets/enquiries, responding to and completing them within a reasonable timeframe while ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date.
- Support the Procurement Manager as necessary with larger projects, process changes, new systems etc.
The Right Candidate
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines while staying flexible in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels, from installation teams to management as well as external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft, including Excel.
- CIPS qualification, or working towards this, is desirable but not essential.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a procurement or buying role.
- Experience in using an ERP/Procurement system.
